Sea Girt Elementary School Celebrated Read Across America all week! There were theme days throughout the week and a book drive collecting gently used books for Bridge of Book (www.bridgeofbooksfoundation.or...). We ended the week with a few minutes of Drop Everything and Read followed by a schoolwide assembly, lead by our class officers. At the assembly there were book relays and we announced the winners of our Book Mark Design Contest. The book drive collected 2,196 books! The class that collected the most books got to 'silly string' Mr. Papera and Dr. Russo! It was a fun way to end the week!
